    Dale Richardson is a qualified counsellor who provides specialized counselling for all types of addictions.

    Community Services Advocacy & Resources Assistance

    Sometimes you need an advocate to assist you in your health care journey.

    Whether you need help figuring out the best health care path to take, or some advice in dealing with a challenge with a health care provider, our Community Services Advocate can help you.

    Call or email the Community Centre using the form within the calendar links and our Community Services and Resource Support advocate will help connect you with beneficial agencies in Windsor and Essex County and help you navigate the often confusing and winding road to healthcare.

    Alzheimer's Memory Cafe (by registration only)

    Join us for our monthly Kingsville ``Alzheimer's Memory Cafe`` from 1-3pm (every second Wednesday of the month).

    A Memory Cafe is a wonderfully welcoming place for individuals with dementia and their care partners to relax and get to know others in a coffee shop environment.

    Due to COVID-19 limitations, we must limit guests to only those who register in advance.

    Community Cafe & Computer Kiosk

    Need some 'people time'?
    Join us every Tuesday from 9:00am to noon to gather with friends, talk, and surf the internet. Or just have a coffee and a snack.

    Masks are not required in the cafe but physical distancing is.
    Weekly, every Tuesday, 9:00am - 12:00pm
    All ages welcome.

    We offer the use of a computer to all Community Cafe members for tasks such as completing a resume or printing off documents, etc.

    A simple, fun game also known as bean bag toss and similar to horseshoes. No registration required.

    Meet with our local device expert, Jodi Brush, for some one-on-one for personalized device help.

    Guides

    For ages 9 to 11
    Guides usually meet once a week for about 90 minutes.

    Guides is  filled with new experiences and friendships. In Guides, girls start to take the lead in group activities and help to organize events and community service projects. Guides make tons of discoveries – about the world, and about themselves.

    Guides can experience activities like:
    Active group games – great for uncovering their personal leadership style
    A tree planting project or a supply drive for a local shelter
    Using their imaginations to dream up, design and build new inventions
    Planning a celebration event for younger girls
    Learning and sharing tips for online safety
    Camping under the stars (and earning an award for it!)

    Did you know? Guides can go further by:
    Earning awards for camping, program achievements and community service.
    Becoming Junior Leaders: earning valuable experience as leaders in local Spark groups.

    Al-Anon Speaker Meetings:
    Speaker meetings are attended by anyone interested in learning about the Al-Anon/Alateen program.
    The general public and professionals are welcome to attend.
    (Alateen: Alateen meetings are for youth whose lives are or were affected by the disease of alcoholism.)

    Pathfinders

    For ages 12 to 14
    Pathfinders usually meet once a week for about 90 minutes.

    Pathfinders is all about bonding with friends and taking the lead. Pathfinders practice teamwork, lead activities together, plan special events and field trips and flex their creativity as they find ways to make a difference.

    Pathfinders can experience activities like:
    Hiking on a local trail or setting out on a rafting trip
    Confidence-boosting challenges, like a cooking contest or a pitch-a-thon for new inventions
    Leading activities for younger girls in Guiding
    Discovering new ways to protect the planet, like making DIY eco-friendly products
    Gaining independence and making memories on a national or international trip

    Did you know? Pathfinders can go further by:
    Earning awards for community service, program achievements and exploring citizenship.
    Becoming Junior Leaders: earning valuable experience as leaders in local Spark or Brownie groups.
    Sharing their leadership on their provincial youth forum or a local committee.
