Milk Bag Creations and Making Knitwear 

 

Kathy Harnadek and volunteers take outer milk bags and recycle them into three feet by six feet sleeping mats and large carryall bags for the homeless and needy youth in Essex County. These are taken to the Bridge Youth Centre on Sherk Street in Leamington and Street Help in Windsor.  The  carryall bags help to carry donated groceries and the mats are used for sleeping outdoors. 

Kathy's group also make knitted items, such as toques, headbands, scarves and mittens/gloves for The Bridge and other non-profit groups.

Please donate all your outer milk bags or yarn directly to the Community Centre to assist us in volunteer work.
